Prior to joining gcp Stephan co-founded a German IT & Software Startup (Syntops GmbH) and a service and fullfillment company for classical music concerts. He was Research and Teaching Assistant at the Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (WU Vienna) and worked as a strategy and innovation consultant. His PhD studies at Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration center around new business models of early stage investors (eg. venture capitalists, incubators, business angels) with a special focus on the recent developments within the internet industry. He studied at Technical University of Munich, University of Munich, University of Zurich, MIT Sloan School of Management in Boston and WU Vienna.

Stephan is lecturer and coach at Vienna University of Economics and Administration and the Technical University Vienna.

Stephan is keen on Sailing, Badminton and classical singing.
