Horst joined GCP in May 2007, bringing in more than 6 years experience in M&A, corporate venturing and corporate finance. Prior to joining GCP, he worked in the M&A department of Telekom Austria AG (TA), where he was involved in dozens of acquisition- and divestment projects, strategic initiatives and the outsourcing activities of TA’s non-core business. During his time with TA he gained extensive experience in project management, due diligence activities and deal structuring. Post to TA, Horst joined the Corporate Finance – Project Finance department of Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich AG (RZB), where he was responsible for acquisition finance and projects in the field of alternative energies in Austria and the EU. With RZB he gained deep insight into various debt finance & mezzanine issues. He is fluent in English and French and has basic knowledge in Spanish.

Horst is a passionate mountaineer (summiting e.g. Kilimanjaro in January 2007) and runner and enjoys literature and music. He has also published sientific work on Corporate Venture Capital & Entrepreneurship and is currently working on his doctoral dissertation in the area of behavioural finance.
