2007 First close of new fund Gamma III above target at €33m. GCP extended its advisor-network with the International Advisory Committee and three new Venture Partners. Existing portfolio of 13 companies (12/2007) grew with 65% in terms of revenues. Two new investments fatfoogoo.com and Pantec Biosolutions. Admission of GEM gamma Equity-linked Note, a securitized participation in gamma II, on Vienna stock exchange.
2006 Sale of inode to Liberty Global Inc. generates 340% p.a. IRR. GCP wins second place in the Austrian VC/PE awards for the inode exit. GCP expands footprint by setting up a subsidiary in Bratislava, Slovak Republic to concentrate on CEE activities. Consolidation of GCP's enterprise software investments in GES (gcp Enterprise Software Group), a holding company serving as growth-platform for an international buy-and build strategy. First acquisition of GES (Infoniqa Informationstechnik GmbH) closed in July.
2005 GCP wins first and third place in the first Austrian VC/PE awards for investments in inode and Oridis Biomed. Transformation of GCP into a joint-stock company. Hannes Ambacher becomes chair of the newly founded GCP-Board.
2004 Second and final closing of gamma II at €17,25 million. Ramp-up of investment activity; closing of eight new investments over the year will make GCP the second most active investor in the D A CH region and among the top-ten in the EU as a whole.
2003 Acquisition of Fund management mandate of former captive fund Invest Equity early stage (IES), joining of IES management Burkhard Feurstein and Nikolaus Spieckermann and relaunch of IES as gamma II. First closing of gamma II at €10 million, backed by an equity-linked note funded feeder vehicle. Alignment of iLab24 and gamma II as one fund with two vehicles; start of investment activity.
2002 Foundation of gcp gamma capital partners through Founding Partners Klaus Matzka, Oliver Grabherr and Hannes Ambacher. Takeover of the fund’s management, relaunch of iLab24 as a balanced technology VC fund and cessation of all incubator activities.
2000 Launch of Internet incubator iLab24 as an integrated fund and management company.
